I. Files in CopyFolder1.8.zip

Install.txt: contains the information here
CopyFolderInstaller1.8.exe: the installation program
FILE_ID.DIZ: contains a brief description of this program; open this file with a text editor
PAD_FILE.XML: contains shareware-distribution information

The installation program works on Windows 98 and Windows NT 4.0, or later. If don't want to run it, look here for a version without the installation program.

II. Running the Installation Program

If you installed a previous version, uninstall it before installing this version. Otherwise, delete Start Menu entries that no longer apply, such as "CopyFolder Documentation in HTML".

Then run CopyFolderInstaller1.8.exe. If you see a User Account Control window, click on the Yes button. Then follow the prompts from the installer.

Note that the uninstall-program will be available in CopyFolder's Start Menu folder (if available) and through the Control Panel's uninstall feature under the name "CopyFolder 1.8".

III. Starting This Program

If you selected creating a Desktop shortcut, you could start this program by double-clicking on the corresponding icon. Otherwise, for Windows 98 or Windows NT 4.0 through Windows 7, click on Start, (All) Programs, FileJockey Software, CopyFolder and CopyFolder Application.

For Windows 8 or 8.1, either create a Desktop shortcut or use the Search charm to find this program. You could also install a program like Start8 to provide a Start menu.

For Windows 10, either create a Desktop shortcut or click on Start, All Apps, FileJockey Software, CopyFolder and CopyFolder Application. If your Start menu does not have an All Apps button, skip that step. You could also install a program like Start10 to provide a Start menu that is like that in Windows 7.
